Plum Deal FAQ

Thank you for purchasing a Plum Deal for World of Smiles, Pediatric Dentistry! We look forward to meeting you and your family, and ask that you please read through our FAQ page before calling us!

Plum Deal Purchasing FAQ

1. What services does my Plum Deal cover?

Your $65 purchase includes a Comprehensive New Patient Exam, Flouride Treatment, as well as a Professional Cleaning, and X-Rays (if needed at the first appointment).

2. What happens if my child doesn’t need a service?

Each child is an individual, and it is our goal to treat them that way! Not all children (dependent primarily upon age and cooperation) will require a professional cleaning or x-rays during their first visit with us. If this is the case, your patient family account will be credited for a future professional cleaning only (to be used within one year).

3. I bought a Plum Deal and I have dental insurance – can I still use it?

One of the disclaimers listed on the Plum Deal states “not valid with dental insurance”. Due to the complexities of our contracts with insurance plans, we will not be accepting a Plum Deal used in conjunction with dental insurance. If you DO have dental insurance, be aware that most dental plans cover exams, cleanings, and x-rays at 100% anyway, so you shouldn’t need a Plum Deal to visit us! I want to make an appointment!


1. Great! We can’t wait to see your family. Please click on the Monkey Scheduling Icon to your left, and choose up to three preferred dates and times you’d like to see us. When choosing your dates:

A)   Check out our Calendar! This will tell you what days we are open or closed, so that you don’t end up requesting days that we are closed to patients.

B)    We have a limited amount of New Patient times available each week – so choose your reservation carefully. We know you understand that we have existing patients, and so if you need to reschedule your appointment, bear in mind it may be several weeks before we are able to find your new preferred time.

C)    That brings us to our rescheduling policy. 48 hours notice is required to reschedule an existing appointment as a courtesy to patients that are on a waiting list. In the same spirit of courtesy, if you have a scheduled appointment for your child, and realize you can’t make it – even if it is last minute – please call ahead of time instead of a no-show/no-call appointment. Our new prospective patients that give us the requested amount of notice will be given preference to earlier available appointment times over any no-show patients.

Great! We’re glad you had a great experience with our doctor and staff and hope you’ll visit again. We recommend to our patients that they schedule their 6-month ReCare (Exam, Professional Cleaning, Flouride, X-rays) before they leave each appointment, in order to secure their preferred time. Our appointments tend to book out 5-6 months in advance, and we know it can be tricky to coordinate a family schedule! As a thank you to our Plum Deal families for scheduling again, pick up a complimentary TastyPaste (chocolate or vanilla flavored flouride-based toothpaste) or Baby Bling! (vanilla flavored non-flouride based toothpaste) at your next recare appointment.
