Your Dentists at North

North DocsDr. Staci Whitman and Dr. Michelle Stafford  worked  for nearly two years to bring World Of Smiles to North Portland. They seek to partner with families to provide education and motivation for healthy dental habits. The practice strives for excellent patient care with a holistic, integrative approach while offering innovative treatment options.  Both Docs enjoy teaching families and other healthcare professionals the importance of prevention and laying a foundation of healthy dental practices from a young age. They advocate for infant and child oral health, have had extensive experience with patients of special needs, and are Board Certified Pediatric Dentists. What is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist?

PrintA Board Certified Pediatric Dentist, or Diplomate, is a dentist that demonstrates an exceptional knowledge and expertise at a standard not possessed by other dentists. During the certification process a written examination followed by an oral examination with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry is completed that determines the proficiency of pediatric dentists. Only about 47% of practicing pediatric dentists are board certified. Both Dr. Staci and Dr. Stafford proudly practice as Diplomates of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

The Docs at our North location have affiliations with the following organizations:

  • American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry
  • Oregon Academy of Pediatric Dentistry
  • American Dental Association
  • Oregon Dental Association
  • Holistic Dental Association
  • Multnomah Dental Society
  • International Organization of Oral Medicine and Toxicology
