When should my baby start teething? How to keep them clean.

Thursday, October 22nd, 2009

Every child is different and will develop at a different pace. Most babies will start to have their first teeth erupt between 6 and 10 months. The first teeth that normally show are called the central incisors and will be located in the middle of the gums on the bottom jaw called the mandible. Once your babies teeth start to erupt it is important that the baby no longer falls asleep with a bottle and after eating the teeth are cleaned with a tooth brush. No toothpaste is needed at this age. For more information on babies and bottles please read the posting found lower in blog. It gives great information on what should and should not be placed in a baby bottle. For a baby tooth eruption chart please check here! www.VisitWorldOfSmiles.com/parents
