At the first visit, your pediatric dentist will generally complete a lap-to-lap exam to ensure there are no abnormal development issues or pathologies that you need to be aware of, and as we all understand, catching health issues early is often the key to successful treatment and lowest cost. The first visit is an excellent time to ask questions of your pediatric dentist; anything from the best toothbrush to use, to flossing tips, and even ideas on nutrition for your small one. A flouride treatment may be recommended to help your child’s natural tooth development, and regular 6 month visits are encouraged to promote a positive routine and catch problem areas quickly. Congratulations!Thursday, January 12, 2012 by admin We are so excited to announce that Dr. Michelle Stafford and her husband Nicholas are expecting! We can’t wait to welcome this little one June of 2011. During the months of June and July, our fabulous Associate Dentist, who is also Board Certified in Pediatric Dentistry will be taking care of all of our little ones! What is Holistic Dentistry?Thursday, January 5, 2012 by Michelle Stafford, DDS What is holistic and sustainable dentistry? We define holistic and sustainable dentistry as treating the whole child and family in a safe and intentional environment. Our goal is to provide a positive learning experience for each child that we meet, and we work with parents to identify the contributing factors to their child’s decay. Our extensive patient interview, Oral Hygiene Instruction, Nutritional Counseling, and the use of the Cari-Free Program all play a part in treating our patients. |
